FAQ
Do I need to pay a retainer fee to continue to be a patient at Weston Primary Care?
Yes. We are a membership practice with many enhancements beyond what a typical practice would provide so all patients are required to pay the yearly fee to enjoy these benefits.
Why should I join one of these concierge models?
Our concierge practice is designed for individuals who desire, not only the ease of access of a smaller practice, but also who would greatly benefit from the availability to see or communicate with their physician 7 days a week. No more excuses for not getting that physical or not having that nagging problem evaluated. Many of our patients have been diagnosed with serious illnesses in an early stage because we were able to see them quickly.
We also place emphasis on excellent communication, with the frequent use of e-mail reminders and personalized health news letters to keep you informed and "on target" for your health goals.
Which hospitals are we affiliated with?
We refer our patients to the MGB Hospitals of Newton-Wellesley Hospital, MGH and BWH, and use the specialists associated with these hospital for most of our referrals. Patients with established specialists at other hospitals will be allowed, in most cases, to continue to see these specialists.
What Insurances Does WPC Take?
WPC takes most major insurance plans, including Medicare, BCBS, Harvard-Pilgrim, and Tufts Health Plans. We also take Aetna and United Health Care. Unfortunately, we do not take Mass Health or any of the state sponsored universal health care plans.
The office staff are available 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday through Thursday, and 8:30 am to 4 pm on Fridays. But our concierge patients can reach their physician 24/7 and can often be seen even when the office is typically closed.
How long will it take me to get an appointment?
We usually can schedule a new urgent visit within a few days but sometimes within a few hours if you have a serious problem. Physicals are booking approximately a few weeks out.
